The Secretariat of Culture of the Province and the Institute of Higher Education No. 11 (IES 11) have signed a cooperation agreement to provide practical training opportunities for students in the field of Museology and Heritage Management.
According to the agreement, students enrolled in the higher technical degree program will be able to undertake planned and coordinated professional internships at provincial museums. These museums operate under the Provincial Directorate of Heritage.
The program aims to give future professionals hands-on experience in areas such as cultural management, preventive preservation, and institutional operations. This is intended to strengthen their academic training by providing real-world exposure to museum work.
“This initiative is part of a sustained public policy by the Secretariat of Culture, aimed at promoting the training of new specialists in museology and ensuring the conservation, safeguarding, and dissemination of cultural heritage,” said officials involved in the project.
The agreement also seeks to encourage greater community engagement with provincial museums. By integrating visitors as well as educational and research institutions, it aims to reinforce museums’ roles as active spaces for learning, participation, and collective knowledge-building.
