An armored truck overturned on the morning of April 11 at the northern access to Fraile Pintado, near kilometer 1,230 of Route 34. The accident was reported around 9:20 a.m. to Seccional 40, prompting a response from local hospital staff and security forces at the scene.

The driver of the armored vehicle said that a mechanical failure caused him to lose control and led to the rollover. Two workers from a Salta-based security company were traveling in the vehicle and suffered injuries of varying severity.

Both injured men received immediate medical attention. A 45-year-old guard sustained a head laceration requiring ten stitches and is in stable condition. A 53-year-old cash handler remains hospitalized at Oscar OrĂas Hospital with a diagnosis of cranial trauma, laceration, and loss of consciousness.

Assistant prosecutor Mariano Medina ordered that the site be secured and preserved to prevent tampering with potential evidence. Police will remain on duty until the truck is removed from the roadside in the presence of a representative from the transport company.

Specialized personnel conducted investigations at the scene to determine whether mechanical failure was responsible for causing the accident as stated by the driver.
