Banco de la Nación Argentina has announced financial support measures for those affected by recent flooding in the Buenos Aires province, particularly in the 9 de Julio area and its surroundings. The announcement comes after a severe storm caused significant economic damage to local communities.
The support package was introduced following a meeting attended by more than 400 producers impacted by the floods. Minister of Security Patricia Bullrich and Secretary of Agriculture Sergio Iraeta were present at the event where details of the aid were discussed.
According to Banco Nación, “A line of working capital loans in pesos, with signature only, will be available. Clients who are micro, small or medium-sized enterprises (MiPyMEs), whether incorporated or sole proprietors, may apply. The maximum amount is up to $50 million. There is a fixed interest rate of 30% for the entire period. The term is up to 36 months, with up to 12 months grace period for principal repayment. Repayment can be monthly, quarterly or semi-annually according to client income (German system).”
Additionally, Banco Nación will offer an extension on due dates for commercial operations: “An extension of up to 60 days will be granted. This will apply to all maturities of working capital or investment operations that fall during November and December 2025. This period may be extended if a national emergency or agricultural disaster is declared.”
These measures aim to provide immediate relief and facilitate recovery for businesses affected by the flooding.
