The Banco de la Nación Argentina has expanded its financial support to more municipalities in Buenos Aires province, following the national government’s declaration of an agricultural emergency and disaster due to recent climate events. The bank is extending its special financial assistance line to new areas affected by adverse weather.
The expanded program now includes Bolívar, Nueve de Julio, Pila, Pehuajó, 25 de Mayo, Dolores, Carlos Casares, Las Flores, Lincoln, Roque Pérez, Adolfo Gonzales Chaves, General Guido, General Belgrano, General Viamonte, Bragado, Daireaux, Castelli, Laprida, Saladillo, Carlos Tejedor, Guaminí, Villarino, Hipólito Yrigoyen, General Alvear and Monte.
According to the bank’s statement: “Banco Nación reaffirms its commitment to regional economies that drive the economy by offering financial tools that contribute to the recovery and sustainability of the agricultural sector.”
The assistance line offers working capital loans in pesos with a maximum amount of up to $50 million. These loans are available to micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (MiPyMEs), regardless of their legal structure. The interest rate is fixed at 30% for the entire term. Borrowers can repay over up to 36 months with a grace period of up to 12 months for principal repayment. Repayment schedules can be monthly, quarterly or semiannual based on client income.
Additionally, there is an extension for commercial loan maturities. Deadlines can be postponed by up to 60 days for all working capital or investment operations maturing in November and December 2025. This period may be further extended if a national-level emergency or disaster is declared for the area.
