Banco de la Nación Argentina will open its main branch to the public on Saturday, November 8, as part of “La Noche de los Museos 2025.” The event will take place at the bank’s Casa Central, located at Rivadavia 325 in Buenos Aires, from 7 p.m. until midnight.
Visitors will have access to the Museo Histórico y Numismático “Arnaldo Cunietti-Ferrando,” which is situated on the first floor of the building. The museum was designed by architect Alejandro Bustillo and was declared a National Historic Monument in 2002. It houses documents, currency notes, a numismatic collection, furniture, and other items related to banking activities and Argentine history.
An exhibition titled “Los pintores del Rey” by artist Ricardo Ajler will be displayed in the Galería de Arte “Alejandro Bustillo.” This show features a range of works highlighting Ajler’s creative output.
The Salón de Mármol will also be open for visitors. This space is notable for its stonework sourced from various regions across Argentina and contains a rococo-style clock that once belonged to Napoleon III’s palace. Architect Bustillo donated this clock to the bank’s collection.
In addition, members of the Malvinas Veterans Commission will give a talk about the Falklands conflict on the first floor during the evening.
All activities are free of charge and include guided tours, with the last tour starting at 11:30 p.m. Entry requires an ID card (DNI), and accessible tours in Argentine Sign Language (LSA) will be available until 11 p.m.
