The Casa de Jujuy in Buenos Aires hosted an emotional evening on March 29 with the event “Latidos de la Quebrada: música para el alma” as part of its Holy Week cultural activities.
The event featured performances by Elías Ábalos and the Camerata Andina, which includes Javier Soria and Gerardo Flores. The musicians presented a program dedicated to Holy Week music, creating an atmosphere of reflection and spiritual connection with local traditions.
A notable moment during the night was the remembrance of songs once sung by former provincial bishop Marcelo Palentini, who was known for his devotion as a pilgrim. These songs evoked faith and devotion among attendees.
Audience members experienced the spirit of Holy Week in Jujuy, with special mention given to “Mamita del Cerro,” a symbol of popular devotion in the region.
Organizers said that events like this help strengthen cultural ties among residents from Jujuy living in Buenos Aires and bring traditional customs closer to both locals and visitors.
