The Centro de Innovación Educativa hosted the event “Entre almas y calabazas,” which brought together a large number of visitors to celebrate memory and cultural diversity. The gathering focused on honoring the traditions of three cultures present in society: Mexican, North American, and Andean. The event emphasized the importance of valuing local and ancestral customs.
Families participated in activities that aimed not only to celebrate but also to provide care and support for children and adolescents. This aligns with the Ministry of Education’s priority policy of offering free, creative, and safe spaces for young people.
Four workshops were held during the day: “Pócimas mágicas” offered laboratory experiences; “Collage digital” explored art through technology; “Calabazas 3D” combined tradition with design; and “Los cuatro elementos: sahumos” connected participants with spiritual and ancestral practices.
Pablo Almirón, director of Innovación Educativa, thanked attendees by saying, “Thank you for showing your creativity, especially through your costumes, which filled the space with joy and color.” The costume parade concluded with prizes awarded to some of the most notable participants.
A special moment was provided by the group Estocolmo, made up of seven teenagers who have been using the center’s facilities for rehearsals over the past year.
“Entre almas y calabazas” demonstrated that innovation can also mean recognizing roots and sharing them proudly.
