Several cultural centers in the capital of Jujuy announced on March 12 a schedule of activities for the week, including art exhibitions, workshops, and guided tours. The agenda features both free and paid events open to the public.
The Centro Cultural Culturarte is hosting the exhibition “Mujeres que dicen” by Liliana Berruezo from March 6 to 30, available daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Admission is free, and group or school visits can be arranged via email. The center is located at San Martín and Sarmiento.
At the Centro Cultural y Museo Casa Macedonio Graz, visitors can take part in guided tours about Macedonio Graz’s life from Monday to Friday, with free entry between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and again from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. On Thursday, March 12 at 7:30 p.m., the museum will open “Experiencia sensorial botánica,” an exhibition by artist Vilma Quiroga. The venue is at Lamadrid and Güemes.
The Centro de Arte Joven Andino (CAJA) will inaugurate “Tabula de bolsillo: la inmensidad del gesto” by Lisandro Alejo Martínez on Monday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m., with free admission until April 13 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. CAJA also offers a theater workshop for youth and adults led by Damián Zanin on Thursday, March 12 and Tuesday, March 17 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; this activity has a fee. A master class in charango by Miguel Vilca will take place on Wednesday, March 18 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., free of charge.
Casa de las Letras will host two simultaneous events on Thursday, March 12 at 6:00 p.m.: the presentation of the book “Manka Fiesta,” coordinated by Mario Fidel Tapia, and the workshop “El sabor de leer” led by Matilde Almada; both are free.
Casa Silvetti continues its exhibition “Paisajes de la colección del patrimonio artístico de la provincia de Jujuy” until March 27 with free entry daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Organizers say these programs aim to strengthen artistic education and enjoyment within the community.
