David Arias was sworn in as the new president of the Instituto de Seguros de Jujuy, according to an April 11 ceremony led by Governor Carlos Sadir. The event took place in the main hall of the institution, with attendance from Health Minister José Manzur, provincial executive officials, and staff members.
The appointment is seen as significant for ensuring transparent management and providing services that better address the needs of affiliates. Governor Sadir said he has “full confidence” in Arias, highlighting his previous work within the health ministry. “I am certain that he will do a great job at the Institute, just as he did at the Ministry of Health,” Sadir said.
Sadir also thanked Ezequiel Vega and Osvaldo González for their interim leadership after Manzur was named minister. Referring to the institute, Sadir said: “This is a great social insurance organization when compared with others. The daily effort by those who work here to serve affiliates is a source of pride; we will continue working for our people.”
Arias said he feels “honored” by his appointment and emphasized that his administration will follow government guidelines aimed at modernizing and humanizing services. He stated that his main goal is to “put people at the center” of every decision.
Arias outlined three key pillars for his tenure: strengthening support for physical and mental health among beneficiaries; maintaining open communication with healthcare providers to resolve differences and seek mutual benefits; and implementing efficient management based on order, transparency, and service commitment. “I cannot achieve these objectives alone; I need a committed team so we can provide more benefits for all residents,” Arias concluded.
