The final plenary session for the presentation of the draft amendment to Law No. 6,298, which regulates the Teacher Qualification Grid, took place on November 25 at the headquarters of the Ministerial Complex.
This event marked the culmination of several months of intersectoral work. The new proposal aims to strengthen transparency and fairness in administrative processes within the education sector.
According to officials, collaborative efforts resulted in a revised grid designed as a technically sound tool that will support evaluation, monitoring, and decision-making processes within the ministry. The intention is to provide greater institutional clarity and legal certainty in applying Law 6,298.
The review process began on July 10 with an initial document. Multiple meetings between technical educational teams and union representatives led to consensus on a unified draft. This version will be discussed in upcoming parliamentary sessions.
Present at the plenary were provincial deputies Mary Ferrin and Diego Cruz; members of the Provincial Board for Teacher Qualification; Natalia García Goyena, Secretary of Strategic Educational Planning; directors from various educational levels; representatives from the Commission for Title Studies; officials from the Systems Directorate; and union representatives from CEDEMS, ASDEA, and AMET.
