Nearly 50 educational institutions from the provincial, municipal, and private sectors participated in a day-long event focused on early literacy. The event, titled āAteneo y Multiespacio Literario: La Alfabetización Inicial y Cultural desde la Mirada de las Transiciones,ā was aimed at teachers from initial and primary education levels.
The gathering took place on November 28 at the Centro Cultural āJorge Cafruneā and the Multiespacio āEl Alto.ā It was organized jointly by the Ministry of Education of Jujuy Province and the Municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy. The main goal was to strengthen teaching and learning processes related to reading and writing. School leadership teams, teachers, supervisors, trainers, and families attended the event.
A key part of the program was a Didactic Ateneoāa space for training, analysis, and sharing pedagogical experiences. Institutions presented projects addressing transitions between early childhood education and first grade. Among those highlighted were Escuela N° 444, Escuela N° 43, Escuela N° 464; JIN N°3; Escuela Municipal NĀŗ 1 āMarina Vilteā; JIN 30; and Colegio Nuestra SeƱora del Huerto.
Provincial authorities in attendance included Carolina Lui Saravia, Director of Early Childhood Education; Laura Molina, Coordinator of the Provincial Literacy Plan; as well as Rodrigo Altea, Secretary of Human Development for the municipality. Guest panelists and administrators from Comprehensive Development Centers also participated.
The closing remarks emphasized collaboration between institutions and the educational community. Organizers stated that “literacy is about guaranteeing rights and broadening horizons.” The event reaffirmed a collective commitment to improving learning opportunities for all children in the province.
