The Minister of Education, Daniela Tesseira, met with Nicolás Benicio, president of the Jujuy Construction Chamber, on March 11 to discuss various aspects of school infrastructure. The meeting was also attended by Marcela Gámez, pedagogical advisor; Fernando Aparicio, legal and technical advisor; and Matías Torcivia, secretary of Educational Infrastructure.
The discussion focused on the current state of ongoing construction projects in schools, planned initiatives for the year, and actions related to maintenance of educational facilities. This collaboration is seen as important for improving the conditions in which students learn and teachers work.
Benicio said that this was an initial meeting with the new administration to align priorities and plan educational construction projects. “Fue una reunión inicial para ordenar y conocer cuáles son las obras que se van a iniciar y cuáles están proyectadas para este año,” Benicio said.
The participants also talked about strengthening training programs related to building maintenance in schools and continuing to promote professional internships for technical school students within construction companies. Benicio said: “Los estudiantes de escuelas técnicas que realizan prácticas en las empresas han tenido muy buenos resultados, por lo que queremos seguir trabajando en esa línea.”
The meeting resulted in progress toward a joint work agenda between the Ministry of Education and the Jujuy Construction Chamber. The goal is to strengthen educational infrastructure and improve coordination between the education system and local industry.
