The Ministry of Education held a meeting with representatives from the communities of San Miguel de Colorado, Cusi Cusi, and Pumahuasi on March 17 to address various issues related to the operation of local schools.
The meeting aimed to create a space for dialogue between education officials and community leaders. The goal was to find solutions together for challenges faced by educational institutions in these areas.
Abdon Valdiviezo, representative of the San Miguel de Colorado community, said he appreciated the opportunity for dialogue and highlighted the commitment from all parties to move forward with joint solutions. Municipal authorities described the meeting as positive, noting that necessary steps are underway to respond to concerns raised during the discussion in order to ensure students’ access to education.
Participants included Viviana Villegas and Silvia Jeréz, directors of Primary and Secondary Education; provincial deputy Diego Cruz; technical teams; and municipal officials Silvio Mamani from Cusi Cusi and Héctor Martearena from Pumahuasi.
The discussions reflect ongoing efforts by both government officials and local communities to improve educational opportunities in remote regions.
