The Minister of Education, Daniela Teseira, met with Ariel Bravo, Secretary of Human Development for the Municipality of San Pedro, on March 18 to advance the consolidation of the Programa P.U.E.N.T.E.
The meeting focused on agreeing on guidelines for implementing the Programa P.U.E.N.T.E., which stands for Prevention, Unity, Listening, Negotiation, Youth Networks, and Empathy. The ministry and municipality outlined joint actions aimed at strengthening prevention efforts, active listening, comprehensive support for educational paths, work with families, and coordinated territorial intervention.
These strategies are designed to build a support network that can effectively address various issues faced by school communities. The goal is to ensure better learning conditions, inclusion, and development opportunities for all students.
Officials said that by working together across different sectors and focusing on both prevention and direct support measures, they hope to create a more inclusive educational environment. The emphasis on family involvement and territorial coordination reflects an approach that seeks to engage all parts of the community in supporting students’ educational journeys.
The next steps will involve putting these agreed-upon strategies into practice within schools and neighborhoods. Authorities expect this collaborative framework will help address challenges in education more effectively moving forward.
