The Ministry of Education announced on Apr. 6 that the period for the creation of teaching files for candidates wishing to enter teaching positions in compulsory education levels remains open.
This process is important as it ensures that aspiring teachers submit all required documents within set deadlines, which allows for proper evaluation and inclusion in the merit order lists for 2026.
According to the ministry, documentation is being received at the headquarters of the Provincial Board of Teacher Qualification located at Av. España No.1630, as well as at Regional Delegations, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The board reminded applicants about “the importance of meeting established deadlines and presenting complete documentation to guarantee correct assessment in the merit order lists for 2026.”
For initial level and primary level specialties such as kindergarten teacher, physical education, and music education, both creation and updating of files are taking place from March 2 until June 30, 2026. For primary school teachers—including grade teachers, special education professors, and special subject teachers like visual arts or English—the file creation period runs from April 1 to April 24, 2026.
In secondary education, new applicants must create their files in person before registering online between April 1 and April 30, while those with existing files who have obtained new qualifications must also present them during this time frame.
