The Ministry of Education concluded the Uma Kawsay project in Abra Pampa on March 25, an initiative focused on promoting responsible water use and care within local communities.
The event was organized to coincide with World Water Day and was led by the Coordination of Healthy School Environments under the Directorate of Comprehensive Educational Support. The closing activities involved professionals from Agua Potable, educational institutions, and community representatives from Region VII.
Efforts during the project centered on strengthening knowledge and skills related to responsible water management. Organizers also worked to raise awareness about the importance of ensuring access to safe drinking water in each community.
At the conclusion of the event, purification kits were distributed to educational institutions and communities. These kits included theoretical guides, buoys, chlorine tablets, measurement reagents, colorimetric cards, and test tubes. Certificates were also given to participants so they can apply safe chlorination practices in their areas.
Among those present at the closing ceremony were Juan Carlos GarcĆa, president of Agua Potable; Luis Jure, general board member; Luciana Pizarro, project leader; and Girón Floresāall key figures in implementing this initiative.
