The Ministry of Education held a training session on March 27 for school leaders, supervisors, and teachers involved in the Innovative Secondary Schools Network. The event took place at the Ministerial Complex and was attended by Minister Daniela Teseira and specialist MarĆa InĆ©s HernĆ”ndez, who traveled from Buenos Aires to support institutions selected as initiators of the network.
The initiative is part of the Program for Transformation of Secondary Education. Its goal is to sustain educational pathways, improve teaching and learning, and strengthen management processes.
Silvia JerƩz, Director of Secondary Education, said that the process focuses on four main areas: reviewing academic regulations, institutional organization, improving interdisciplinary teaching and learning processes, and strengthening professional development for teachers.
JerƩz also said that participating schools had already been developing innovative practices. Now they will be able to systematize this work and connect it within a network at both provincial and national levels to encourage sharing practices and knowledge.
Nine educational institutions from different localities in the province were selected. They received training on institutional diagnosis, information management, strategic planning, as well as workshops aimed at starting a process of continuous improvement with an emphasis on building a more inclusive and dynamic secondary school that meets current challenges.
