The Ministry of Education held a training session on March 27 for school administrators, supervisors, and teachers participating in the Red de Secundarias Innovadoras initiative. The event took place at the Ministerial Complex and was attended by Minister Daniela Teseira and specialist MarÃa Inés Hernández, who traveled from Buenos Aires to support schools selected as initiators of the network.
The training is part of the Secondary School Transformation Program. Its goal is to support students’ educational progress, improve teaching and learning processes, and strengthen management practices.
Silvia Jerez, Director of Secondary Education, said that the process relies on four main pillars: reviewing academic regulations, organizing institutions more effectively, improving interdisciplinary teaching and learning methods, and enhancing professional development for teachers. Jerez also said that participating schools had already been developing innovative experiences before joining this program. Now they will be able to organize their work systematically and collaborate within a provincial and national network to share practices and knowledge.
Workshops during the session focused on beginning a process of continuous improvement aimed at building a more inclusive and dynamic secondary school that meets current challenges.
