Education ministry meets with Olaroz Chico community on school improvements

The Minister of Education, Miriam Serrano, met with Mario Gerónimo, the head of the aboriginal community of Olaroz, along with new leaders from the school support organizations at Provincial Technical School No. 2 and Primary School No. 211 “Gendarmería Nacional” in Olaroz Chico.

During the meeting, it was noted that construction on Primary School No. 211 has reached 50% completion. This development is expected to improve educational conditions in the area. Other topics included installing security cameras at both schools, improving school dining facilities, and requesting additional service staff to accommodate a growing student body.

Damián Soriano, president of the support organization for School No. 211, and Marta Vázquez, president for Technical School No. 2, expressed their thanks to the minister and her team. “We thank the minister and her team for their willingness and commitment to educational quality and the well-being of students throughout the region,” they said.

The meeting also included Matías Torcivia, Secretary of Educational Infrastructure; Carolina Calvó, Director of Higher Education; Sergio Siles, General Institutional Coordinator; and Emanuel Alarcón, Head of the Normalizing Unit for Auxiliary Educational Staff.
