Federal prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita announced on Mar. 30 new investigative measures in the case involving Chief of Cabinet Manuel Adorni, who is under investigation for alleged misuse of public funds. The goal is to reconstruct Adorni’s domestic and international travel history over recent years.
According to the statement, Pollicita submitted a request to Federal Court No. 4, presided over by Ariel Lijo, seeking access to complete migration records and cross-referencing information related to flights under review.
The prosecution has asked the National Directorate of Migration for all exit and re-entry records concerning Adorni from Jan. 1, 2023, through the present. This includes dates, times, border crossings, means of transport, and any other available documentation.
The measure also extends to journalist Marcelo GrandÃo and others believed to have participated in the investigated flights—including Bettina Julieta Angeletti—with particular attention paid to trips taken between Feb. 12 and Feb. 17, 2026.
A central focus of the investigation is determining whether there are shared travel patterns among those involved. To this end, prosecutors have requested a cross-checking of migration data in order to establish coincidences in destinations, dates, or companions that could be relevant for the case.
Pollicita also requested identification of agents responsible for entering and validating migration records—seeking technical details such as user credentials, department affiliation, date and time stamps as well as IP addresses—to ensure data traceability.
In parallel steps within the investigation process, involvement from the Administrative Investigations Prosecutor’s Office (PIA) was requested along with information from JAG Executive Aviation S.A., specifically regarding communications or documents linked with analyzed flights.
The case began after a private flight trip during Carnival holidays reportedly paid for by third parties.
