Four women have been summoned to testify as part of a judicial investigation into the assets of Manuel Adorni, current chief of staff, according to an April 7 statement. The order was issued by prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita and involves the financing of properties acquired by Adorni.
The case is significant as it seeks to clarify how non-bank loans were used for real estate purchases, raising questions about the origin and legality of the funds involved. Authorities are focusing on whether there were any irregularities or potential illicit enrichment in these transactions.
According to information from the case file, Claudia Sbabo and Beatriz Viegas are listed as creditors on a mortgage loan used for an apartment purchase in Caballito, where Adorni currently lives. Graciela Isabel Molina and Victoria MarÃa José Cancio are reportedly linked to another similar transaction in the same neighborhood.
Sbabo and Viegas are scheduled to appear before authorities on Thursday, April 9, while Molina and Cancio will testify on Monday, April 13. These hearings aim to reconstruct how the loans were structured for these property deals.
The proceedings underscore ongoing concerns regarding non-traditional lending methods in high-value transactions involving public officials. The outcome may set precedents for future investigations into asset declarations and financial transparency.
