Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy announced on May 10 that it will hold a donation drive before its upcoming match against Club Atlético Temperley, scheduled for Sunday, May 17 at Estadio 23 de Agosto.

The club said the initiative aims to collect warm clothing and blankets to help people experiencing homelessness as colder temperatures approach in the province. The effort is organized in response to forecasts of intense cold over the coming weeks.

A collection point will be set up at the entrance of the stadium where fans and attendees can bring their donations prior to the match. The campaign seeks participation from all members of the local community, encouraging a gesture of solidarity towards those in vulnerable situations.

The club called on members, supporters, and neighbors to join this initiative. “It is important to show solidarity and social commitment during times when many people need assistance to face winter,” representatives from Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy said.

Looking ahead, organizers hope that this action will inspire continued community involvement and provide meaningful support for individuals most affected by low temperatures.
