Emiliano Endrizzi, a player for Gimnasia de Jujuy, was detained on April 11 following an alleged bomb threat at Dr. Horacio Guzmán Airport. The incident took place inside the airplane where the club’s team and other passengers were preparing to travel to Buenos Aires.

According to witnesses, Endrizzi reportedly shouted the word “bomb” while onboard. Security protocols were immediately activated, leading authorities to handcuff and remove him from the aircraft.

The situation prompted a full evacuation of both passengers and airport staff as a precautionary measure. After about an hour of operations, specialized personnel determined there were no explosives present, allowing normal activity to resume at the terminal.

The event caused delays and concern among those present in Perico’s terminal during the police response. Following the incident, club officials held an emergency meeting to discuss possible actions regarding Endrizzi’s future with Gimnasia de Jujuy, including potentially terminating his contract.

The case remains under review as authorities continue their investigation.
