Governor Carlos Sadir met with mayors from the Valles region on April 8 to discuss the importance of reaffirming public policies in various areas, aiming to improve living conditions for residents.
The meeting focused on key topics such as education and security. Minister of Government, Justice, Human Rights and Labor Normando Álvarez García said that the session was held to reaffirm the commitment to work closely with citizens and listen to concerns raised by local leaders representing their communities.
Álvarez García also said these meetings are important for addressing ongoing proposals and projects, highlighting Governor Sadir’s commitment to continue advancing solutions for identified problems. He announced that a follow-up meeting is scheduled for April 16 in Monterrico, reflecting an open-door management style and a focus on collaboration between Jujuy’s government and its municipalities.
Víctor González, mayor of El Carmen, described the meeting as very positive for the Valles region. He said that as a result of this dialogue, joint actions were coordinated in areas such as public works, sports, and infrastructure. González added that specific needs related to security, health care, education, lighting improvements, and access issues were discussed according to each locality’s priorities. He emphasized staying close to residents and strengthening ties between government officials and local communities.
Also present at the meeting were Federico Cardozo, Minister of Finance; along with mayors from Perico, Yala, Puesto Viejo, Barro Negro, Aguas Calientes, Monterrico and Pampa Blanca.
