Governor Carlos Sadir met with the Minister of the Interior, Diego Santilli, on April 8 to discuss key issues affecting the province of Jujuy. During the meeting, Sadir raised what he described as “the main concerns that Jujuy is facing today.”
The discussion focused on economic challenges in the province, including “the crisis of the microeconomy, with declining activity and loss of jobs in the private sector.” Sadir also pointed out “the sustained decline in federal revenue sharing, which means fewer key resources to maintain public services and works,” as well as “the deterioration of national highways due to lack of maintenance projects.”
In addition to economic topics, legislative matters were also discussed. The governor said that they addressed “the national legislative agenda and projects that will be considered in the coming months” during their meeting.
Sadir emphasized the need for prompt action: “Jujuy needs urgent decisions. For this reason, through dialogue, we seek solutions that address people’s needs,” he said.
The meeting highlights ongoing efforts by provincial leaders to secure support from national authorities amid continuing economic difficulties.
