Governor Carlos Sadir met with National Interior Minister Diego Santilli in Buenos Aires on April 9 to address key issues facing the province of Jujuy. During the meeting, Sadir said he raised “the main concerns that Jujuy is experiencing today.”
The governor highlighted topics such as “the crisis in the microeconomy, with declining activity and job losses in the private sector.” He also pointed out “the sustained drop in federal revenue sharing, which means fewer key resources to maintain services and public works,” as well as “the deterioration of national highways due to lack of maintenance projects.”
Sadir added that they also discussed “the national legislative agenda and projects that will be considered in the coming months.” The governor emphasized the need for urgent action by saying, “Jujuy needs urgent decisions. That is why, through dialogue, we seek solutions that address people’s needs.”
According to official sources from Casa Rosada, this meeting is part of a series held by Minister Santilli with other provincial governors. In recent weeks, he has met with Juan Pablo Valdés (Corrientes), Claudio Poggi (San Luis), Alfredo Cornejo (Mendoza), and Ignacio Torres (Chubut).
The ongoing meetings between national officials and provincial leaders reflect efforts to coordinate responses to economic challenges affecting several regions.
