Governor Carlos Sadir met with mayors from the Valleys region on April 8 to strengthen cooperation on public policies. The meeting focused on key issues such as education, security, and infrastructure, aiming to improve living conditions in each community.
Minister of Government, Justice, Human Rights and Labor Normando Álvarez García said the meeting was positive and confirmed the commitment to work closely with residents and listen to local leaders’ concerns. He said these meetings help monitor ongoing projects and advance concrete solutions for municipal problems.
The next working meeting is scheduled for April 16 in Monterrico. This open-door approach is intended to strengthen ties between the provincial government of Jujuy and municipalities by ensuring local demands are directly addressed in dialogue with provincial authorities.
Víctor González, mayor of El Carmen, said that the discussion allowed coordination of actions in areas such as sports and infrastructure. He also mentioned that specific needs were discussed, including improvements in lighting and access as well as strengthening health and security services in the Valleys region.
González said that the meeting made progress toward forming a regional development agenda to address residents’ needs more efficiently. The event was also attended by Minister of Finance Federico Cardozo along with mayors from Perico, Yala, Puesto Viejo, Barro Negro, Aguas Calientes, Monterrico, and Pampa Blanca.
