Marcelo Cáceres, an internationally recognized session guitarist and current musician for Jorge Rojas, is set to lead a guitar clinic in Jujuy. The event takes place today, November 14, at the Casa Museo Macedonio Graz from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Cáceres will focus on topics such as interpretation, technique, and audio. He will share insights from his experience performing both in Argentina and abroad.
The clinic is scheduled for Friday, November 14, at the Casa Museo Macedonio Graz. Attendance is limited.
Cáceres began studying guitar at age nine at the Conservatorio Félix Garzón and La Colmena Escuela de Músicos. He continued his training in Buenos Aires and the United States with teachers including Daniel Corzo, Lito Epumer, Ted Greene, Ron Eschette, John Pisano, Barry Zweig, and Sid Jacobs. His career spans various styles—jazz, folklore, tango, pop, and rock—and he has demonstrated skill with different types of guitars.
Throughout his career, Cáceres has performed with artists such as Diego Torres, Gloria Trevi, Googoosh, Ray Brown Jr., Guillermo Galve; orchestras like Oregon Symphony and Long Beach Symphony; Jorge Rojas; and many other international musicians. He has toured more than 30 countries. Currently a teacher at La Colmena and one of Argentina’s most recorded session guitarists, Cáceres is regarded as a leading figure on the national music scene.
The event requires payment for attendance and has limited spots available. Organizers recommend securing a place in advance. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism together with Casa Macedonio Graz are hosting this musical training opportunity in Jujuy province.
