The Minister of Health, José Manzur, visited the Dr. Héctor Quintana Maternal and Child Hospital as part of a series of institutional visits aimed at strengthening healthcare services in the province. Manzur was accompanied by his team during the tour, which focused on reviewing key hospital areas and ongoing construction projects.
The visit included stops at inpatient wards, the emergency department, diagnostic imaging units, and the Oncohematology area. The minister also observed efforts to refurbish and improve facilities, with initiatives designed to optimize patient flow, speed up care delivery, and ensure better conditions for patients, their families, and healthcare workers.
During discussions with hospital leadership and staff, authorities outlined their main priorities and work plans. They highlighted ongoing support from both the Ministry of Health and the provincial government. According to officials: “These visits are part of a territorial agenda that has already included tours of San Roque Hospital, Pablo Soria Hospital, and Gallardo Hospital. The aim is to deepen on-site work, consolidate progress that provides better responses to the community, and strengthen ties between health teams—with people always at the center of management.”
Hospital representatives emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration for comprehensive improvement while respecting each institution’s history and strategic role within the public health network.
This series of visits will continue across other healthcare centers in the province as part of efforts to enhance service quality and community engagement.
