The Ministry of Health of Jujuy began on March 10 the renovation and maintenance works at the El Remate Health Post, which is part of the rural area managed by Hospital Dr. Wenceslao Gallardo in Palpalá.
The project aims to improve the quality of care for the local community by upgrading infrastructure and expanding services at the facility.
Raúl Román, director of Health Management at Hospital Gallardo, said, “The work already underway includes replacing roofs, interior masonry, installing a ceiling, building a nursing office and a new bathroom, and renewing the electrical installation with a new control panel.”
Román also said, “Always with the support of the Ministry of Health and following the Strategic Health Plan II, these works aim to improve quality of care by providing greater comfort to both the community and our teams.”
Once renovations are complete, Román anticipated that a general practitioner will join the current staff—which includes nursing personnel, a health agent, pediatrician, and general services—to expand healthcare response in the area. The facility will also have internet connectivity to enhance services such as data entry and notification of health information as well as coordination with Hospital Gallardo and emergency services like SAME 107.
The improvements are expected to benefit both patients and healthcare workers by creating better conditions for medical attention.
