The Ministry of Health in Jujuy has announced the continuation of community cleanup operations in San Salvador de Jujuy, aimed at reducing mosquito breeding grounds as part of its dengue prevention efforts. The program is organized by Primary Health Care (APS) teams, who conduct scheduled visits to neighborhoods to promote safer and healthier environments.

According to the Ministry, after a recent operation in the area served by CAPS René Favaloro, further activities are planned for Friday, February 20, starting at 8:30 a.m. These will take place around the CAPS Alberdi health center, beginning at Prolongación Eva Perón and Leopoldo Bárcena streets. The cleanup will cover several other streets including Sergio Alvarado, Avenida Vespucio, Profesor Pablo Arroyo, Arismendi, José Mármol, Granaderos, Ernesto Altamirano, Miguel Cane, Dalessio and Lola Mora.

The Ministry stated that these initiatives help strengthen cooperation between health teams and residents by encouraging the removal of unused items that can collect water and supporting practices that benefit public health.

Residents are encouraged to participate in these cleanups and maintain their patios, roofs and outdoor spaces to help prevent mosquito-borne diseases. “Prevention is built together,” said the Ministry.
