Three new organ and tissue donation procedures were recently carried out at Hospital Pablo Soria in San Salvador de Jujuy, according to the Ministry of Health of Jujuy. Among these, one was a multi-organ procedure. These efforts bring the total number of organ and tissue procurements in the first month of 2026 to nine.
The Ministry highlighted the importance of community involvement in making transplants possible. “Providing recovery alternatives to those facing critical health situations is possible thanks to the commitment of the community since without donors there are no transplants,” stated officials from the Ministry.
They also referenced national and provincial policy frameworks that have contributed to this progress. “The promulgation and application of the Justina Law in 2018 and a specific health policy in Jujuy allows the province to strengthen its performance at a regional level in terms of organ donation,” they said.
For more information about organ donation, individuals can visit Güemes 1360 in San Salvador de Jujuy from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., or call 4221228.
