The Ministry of Health in Jujuy has announced that three new organ procurement operations were recently carried out at Hospital Pablo Soria in the provincial capital. With these latest procedures, the total number of such operations performed since the beginning of 2025 has reached 76.
Officials highlighted the importance of raising awareness about organ donation and its role in providing recovery options for people facing critical health situations. The ministry stated, “Raising awareness about organ donation and its importance is key to strengthening joint work, as it provides recovery alternatives to people from the province and different parts of the country, of all ages, who are going through critical health situations and require an organ transplant.”
The statement also emphasized that organ and tissue donation is a collaborative act developed by the federal health system under strict safety and quality standards. “Organ and tissue donation constitutes a solidarity act and a practice that the federal health system develops in compliance with rigorous safety and quality standards,” according to the ministry.
