A community event called the “Inclumaratón” took place in Humahuaca on November 7, bringing together students, teachers, families, and local organizations. The event was organized by Escuela de Configuraciones de Apoyo N°15 in partnership with the Municipality of Humahuaca through its Education and Culture Secretariat.
The Inclumaratón was part of the annual project “Humahuaca cambia de mirada” and the Reflection Days on Special Education from an Inclusive Education perspective. It was held at Polideportivo General Arias and featured adapted circuits as well as recreational activities. Participants included educational, sports, cultural, and health institutions.
The event provided medical assistance services, road safety measures, and hydration stations with support from the municipality, higher education students, and the school community.
School leaders and teachers from ECA N°15 commented on the significance of the gathering. “Everyone wins because every shared step reaffirms that an inclusive community is possible when built with empathy, solidarity, and commitment,” they said.
The Inclumaratón aimed to promote inclusion by making people with disabilities active participants. Organizers said it helped highlight ongoing physical, attitudinal, and communication barriers in society while encouraging continued efforts to overcome them.
