The Ministry of Infrastructure, Public Services, Land and Housing held a meeting on March 31 with representatives from five neighborhood centers to discuss the planning of upcoming public works projects. The session was led by Minister Carlos Stanic and included several senior officials from the ministry.
The purpose of the meeting was to ensure that planned infrastructure projects are distinct, do not overlap, and complement municipal initiatives. This approach aims to optimize resources and improve coordination among different levels of government for the benefit of local residents.
Stanic said that collaboration between various secretaries in his ministry, along with support from the Municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy, will lead to more appropriate investments. “The consideration of Suarez, of the Secretariat of Infrastructure, as well as coordination by Secretaries Sadir, Pizarro and Cazón…will result in works and investments even more relevant and suitable…so that each jurisdiction, area and community can optimize its actions for the well-being of neighbors,” Stanic said.
He also addressed current economic challenges: “The economic situation in the country, decreased revenue sharing funds and other current conditions urge us to maximize every strategy that results in a more direct impact on people’s daily quality of life.” Stanic added that provincial policy under Governor Carlos Sadir is focused on improving community welfare through targeted investments.
Secretary José Suarez acknowledged contributions from neighborhood center representatives who brought organized analyses and proposals. He explained that earlier this year a plan for capital city neighborhoods had already been presented focusing on smaller but impactful projects such as urban stairways, culvert bridges, curbsides, drainage systems and more. These new discussions are intended to refine those plans based on input directly from residents.
