The Instituto de Seguros de Jujuy (ISJ) has announced that payments to medical service providers are current, with the payment for the second half of December 2025 completed on January 9, 2026.
This update confirms that the Pronto Pago system, which was formalized and agreed upon between the provincial health insurance provider and organizations representing healthcare professionals, is being upheld. Both the payment process and co-payment amounts for outpatient medical consultations were established through agreements between ISJ and institutions representing health professionals.
Collaboration in this effort included the Medical Council, Medical College, and Association of Independent Doctors. The goal was to ensure clear rules, predictability, and quality care.
Current consultation fees are as follows: a general medical consultation costs 18,000 pesos—ISJ pays 12,000 pesos while affiliates pay a co-payment of 6,000 pesos; a specialist consultation costs 28,000 pesos—ISJ covers 18,000 pesos with a co-payment of 10,000 pesos from affiliates.
ISJ stated: “The ISJ ratifies its vocation for dialogue and commitment to defending beneficiaries’ rights,” adding that joining the provider registry means full acceptance of the agreement.
According to these agreements, affiliates should only pay the stipulated cost for outpatient consultations. No additional or differentiated fees are permitted. This measure aims to prevent situations that previously required intervention by ISJ.
