The Instituto de Seguros de Jujuy (ISJ) has announced that it is delivering medications on time to its members who are undergoing cancer treatment, have received transplants, or are living with HIV. The organization stated that there have been no interruptions in medical treatments for these groups.
The ISJ attributes this continuity to the efforts made by its Banco de Drogas, which manages the distribution of medicines. The institute acknowledged general shortages of certain drugs but said these issues are outside of its control and have not affected their ability to supply medication to patients.
Ezequiel Vega, the first board member of ISJ, stated: “The supply of medications is guaranteed and we will never harm our members who need treatment.” He also highlighted that coverage for oncology patients is complete. “We deliver all medications and under no circumstances will we allow treatment interruptions,” Vega added.
The ISJ reiterated its commitment to ensuring access to necessary treatments for its members despite broader challenges in drug availability.
