The Instituto de Seguros de Jujuy (ISJ) has expanded its services for patients with mental health conditions in San Pedro de Jujuy. The initiative includes the opening of a new multi-specialty clinic aimed at improving care for ISJ members in San Pedro and nearby areas.
MarÃa José Figueroa, head of the Disability Division at ISJ, stated that the new clinic will offer services from speech therapists, kinesiologists, occupational therapists, psychomotor specialists, educators, and itinerant teachers. According to Figueroa: “The multi-specialty clinic will have speech therapists, kinesiologist, occupational therapist, psychomotor specialists, educators and itinerant teachers, thus providing proper care to affiliates of this city and surrounding areas.”
Figueroa attended the inauguration of the SIR Policonsultorio as part of efforts to decentralize the division’s work and mark the beginning of activities for 2026. The facility is designed to serve patients with moderate and mild mental health conditions through outpatient treatment. During her visit, Figueroa also addressed questions and concerns from ISJ members.
As part of her agenda in San Pedro de Jujuy, Figueroa visited Asper institution where audits were conducted with each member regarding their consultations. She also authorized a treatment plan for 2026 for those attending Asper.
Additionally, the team visited Asociación Caminemos Juntos. There they approved treatment plans for 2026 and discussed suggestions related to service delivery methods within that organization to accommodate a large number of provincial social security members.
Figueroa emphasized that this approach—visiting different cities or localities—is set to be one of the main strategies by ISJ’s board this year: “This modality will be one of the main axes planned by the Board of Directors of the provincial social security agency for this period—with on-site visits in each city or locality—to strengthen ISJ’s territorial work,” she concluded.
