The Instituto de Seguros de Jujuy (ISJ) has announced new rates for outpatient medical consultations, effective from November 3. The update comes as part of an agreement with the associations representing medical professionals in the province.

Under the new system, there are two categories for consultations. For general medical consultations, members will pay 6,000 pesos as a co-payment while ISJ covers 12,000 pesos, making the total cost to the physician 18,000 pesos. Specialist consultations will require a co-payment of 10,000 pesos from the member and a payment of 18,000 pesos from ISJ, resulting in a total fee of 28,000 pesos for the specialist.

The lists for these categories are managed by the Medical Council. According to ISJ, this approach aims to ensure transparency in service delivery and enhance recognition of the medical profession.

ISJ stated: “With this measure, affiliates will only pay the stipulated co-insurance.”

If members have questions or concerns about being charged additional fees beyond what is established—such as differentiated fees or extra co-payments—they can contact ISJ through several channels. Telephone assistance is available at 0810 777 72583 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 20:00 hours. Additional information and online services can be accessed at www.isj.gov.ar.

Members also have access to digital tools such as their Digital Credential and a section for claims on ISJ’s website.
