The Instituto de Seguros de Jujuy (ISJ) and the College of Pharmacists announced on March 9 a new agreement to change how disposable diapers are distributed to members. Starting next week, the delivery will move from a centralized process to monthly pickups at participating pharmacies.
This change is intended to make it easier for ISJ members across the province to access diapers. The agreement was signed by Ezequiel Vega, Vocal I and acting President of ISJ; Osvaldo González, Vocal II; and Gustavo Martínez, President of the College of Pharmacists of Jujuy.
The new system will serve three groups: babies aged 0 to 6 months under the Maternal Program, people covered by the Disability Plan as defined by Provincial Law 4398/88, and older adults included in the Basic Benefits Plan. Both direct and indirect members, whether mandatory or voluntary affiliates, are eligible.
Authorities highlighted that this approach reduces bureaucracy. Members will only need to complete paperwork once a year for renewals or audits. Once registered in the system, benefits will be available directly at pharmacies. “The objective is to optimize diaper provision so our members throughout the province can go directly to their nearest pharmacy,” Vega said.
Martínez described the agreement as “very positive” and emphasized ongoing communication with ISJ. “This simplifies access and provides convenience for members. From the College we will contribute so everything works in the best way,” he said.
ISJ reminded members that they can contact its official social media channels or WhatsApp line with any questions about implementation or participating pharmacies.
