The Instituto de Seguros de Jujuy (ISJ) announced on April 5 that it will hold a meeting with health service providers to discuss key topics related to their institutional relationship, including payments for medical services.
This initiative aims to strengthen dialogue between the ISJ and its network of providers, as well as ensure quality care for affiliated members. The ISJ said in a statement that it remains committed to fulfilling its payment obligations despite financial challenges.
“The social security organization continues attending its payment obligations contracted with the group of providers, making the maximum financial effort,” the statement said. The ISJ also highlighted that payments to medical professionals for consultation orders “are fulfilled within each month’s biweekly periods as agreed.”
Regarding outpatient practices, the ISJ clarified that in March—covering the recently concluded period—it paid 40% of December’s services. “Payments correspond to the current month and are made once billing control processes are completed, which usually take about two months,” officials said.
They further stated: “There are no overdue payments, only commitments pertaining to the current period. Delays recorded during March were due to a concentration of non-working days, such as Holy Week, which required administrative processes and payment execution to be restructured.”
The upcoming meeting is expected to provide an opportunity for both parties to address ongoing concerns and maintain clear communication regarding administrative procedures.
