Jujuy Energía y Minería Sociedad del Estado (JEMSE) and the National University of Jujuy (UNJu) announced on March 19 the launch of “Potencial Jujeño,” a new internship program aimed at engineering and geology students. The announcement was made during an event at the Salón Blanco de Casa de Gobierno, attended by Governor Carlos Sadir, JEMSE President Ezequiel Lello Ivacevich, UNJu Rector Mario Bonillo, and Alejandro Vargas, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
The initiative seeks to connect advanced students from Mining Engineering and Geology with professional opportunities in the growing mining industry. Interested students can obtain more information or register through the Secretariat of Extension at the Faculty of Engineering.
Lello Ivacevich said, “The true sovereignty over our resources is exercised by integrating our young people into a high-demand labor market. ‘Potencial Jujeño’ reflects our vision to work every day so that the wealth of our province is operated and enhanced by local talent. We are a company that generates value and constantly reinvests in Jujuy’s human capital.”
Governor Sadir and Rector Bonillo both said that collaboration between JEMSE and the public university is essential for building a competitive production model based on knowledge and skilled local labor.
According to organizers, “Potencial Jujeño” aims to ensure that economic growth in mining translates into real job opportunities for residents of Jujuy. The program also intends to help retain local talent by offering career prospects within the region.
With this new program, JEMSE reaffirms its commitment to education and industry by supporting initiatives that provide more opportunities for future generations.
