A new organ and tissue donation procedure was carried out in the early hours at Hospital Pablo Soria in San Salvador de Jujuy. This marks the 13th donation operation of the year in the province, according to a statement from the Ministry of Health.

The procedure involved a single-organ removal and was made possible through coordinated efforts between hospital teams and the Centro Único Coordinador de Ablación e Implante de Jujuy (CUCAIJUY). The Ministry emphasized that these operations are part of an ongoing public health policy aimed at increasing organ donations.

“Each operation represents a concrete opportunity for people on waiting lists and reflects both the solidarity of donor families and the continuous preparation of health teams to act with professionalism and respect,” stated officials.

Residents seeking more information about organ and tissue donation can contact CUCAIJUY at their office on Güemes 1360 in San Salvador or by phone at (0388) 4221228, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 2 pm.
