The Ministry of Education in Jujuy announced on April 2 that it is moving forward with preparations for the 2026 Science Fair through coordinated efforts with the Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation. The collaboration will focus on technical, operational, and educational aspects of the event.
This joint approach was highlighted by Gabriela Camacho, provincial coordinator of the Science Fair, during a meeting with ministry officials. The session was led by Carolina Requelme, Secretary of Educational Management, and Nancy Chiliguay, Secretary of Socio-Educational Policies.
The meeting addressed how school-level activities would be organized and set out selection criteria to determine which projects advance to zonal stages. Planning also included details about the provincial phase—considered a precursor to national participation—which will have venues in Jujuy, San Luis, and Misiones in October. Organizers are also preparing for an upcoming Higher Education Congress.
Preparations for the 2026 Science Fair are already underway. Training sessions began with a national seminar provided by INFoD (National Institute for Teacher Training), running through May. Afterward, local training opportunities will be offered to supervisors, school leaders, and teachers from all educational regions who wish to participate.
Officials say these steps aim to ensure broad involvement across regions and smooth progression from local to national levels.
