The Ministry of Education announced on March 17 that an extraordinary exam period will be available for secondary school students who have not been promoted but are eligible to advance to the next grade.
This measure is intended to give students another opportunity to continue their studies without losing a year. The announcement applies to both public and private educational institutions, as well as social, municipal, and cooperative schools.
According to the ministry, first-year students with up to four pending subjects and second- through fifth-year students with up to three pending subjects may register for this special exam session. However, only one subject can be taken during this period in order to qualify for promotion.
Registration for these exams will take place on March 19 and 20 at each respective institution. The exams themselves are scheduled for March 30 and 31. Regular classroom activities will continue as usual for other students during these dates.
The ministry said this initiative aims to support student progression while maintaining academic standards.
