The Ministry of Human Development and the Ministry of Education in Jujuy are working together to improve food security in school cafeterias across 670 educational institutions in the province.
Marta Russo Arriola, Minister of Human Development, and Daniela Teseira, Minister of Education, met with their technical teams to develop a joint strategy aimed at ensuring food security for students. The meeting focused on creating an integrated approach that emphasizes nutritional quality, efficient use of resources, and coordinated operations among relevant departments.
Discussions included ways to strengthen food supply systems, improve logistics processes, and coordinate actions to support schools in managing daily cafeteria operations. The need to secure fuel supplies for cooking was also addressed as a key factor for maintaining uninterrupted meal services.
This initiative is part of a public policy framework that treats adequate nutrition as essential for the overall development of children and adolescents.
Daniela Teseira highlighted the importance of improving oversight and monitoring of food products to ensure students receive proper nutrition.
