Two new corneal donation procedures were recently carried out at public hospitals in Jujuy province, according to the Ministry of Health. The eleventh procedure took place early Saturday morning at Hospital Pablo Soria, while the tenth was completed on Friday morning at Hospital San Roque.

These donations offer real opportunities to improve the quality of life for individuals waiting for transplants. Corneal donations can restore vision and help recipients regain independence in their daily lives.

The donation process begins when healthcare teams identify a potential donor. Families are then provided with comprehensive support throughout the process. Medical evaluations and specific studies are conducted to ensure high standards of quality, safety, viability, and transparency during each procedure.

Those seeking more information about organ and tissue donation can visit the Centro Único Coordinador de Ablación e Implante de Jujuy (CUCAIJUY) at Güemes 1360 in San Salvador de Jujuy from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., or call 4221228.
