The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Jujuy announced on Apr. 6 a call for local writers and publishers to attend an informational meeting on Friday, April 10, in preparation for the province’s participation in the 50th Buenos Aires International Book Fair.
The announcement aims to gather input from authors and editors in order to coordinate Jujuy’s representation at one of Argentina’s most important cultural events, which will take place from April 23 to May 11 this year.
According to the ministry, the meeting will be held at Casa de las Letras at 7:00 p.m., serving as a space for discussion and collective planning regarding Jujuy’s presence at the fair. The invitation is open to all writers and editors over the age of eighteen who have lived in Jujuy for at least five years, regardless of literary genre.
Officials say this initiative seeks to strengthen Jujuy’s cultural identity while increasing national visibility for its authors. “Because every story born in Jujuy has the power to travel far… and this is the opportunity to do so,” said representatives from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Looking ahead, organizers hope that broad participation will ensure a diverse and representative showing by Jujuy at this milestone edition of the book fair.
