The Legislature of Jujuy has officially recognized the provincial contest “Un minuto por mi tierra” as a matter of Legislative Interest. The announcement was made on December 3, highlighting the event’s role in promoting environmental awareness through audiovisual production.
The competition engaged over seventy students from all four educational regions of the province: Valles, Punas, Yungas, and Quebrada. Participants combined art, technology, and environmental reflection in their short films. The works addressed ethical and critical perspectives on various environmental issues and aimed to raise public awareness about protecting the natural environment.
The contest was organized by the Instituto de Artes Audiovisuales in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Jujuy. It targeted secondary school students in their 4th, 5th, and 6th years. The topics explored by students included climate change, forest fires, recycling, biodiversity, and other environmental challenges.
According to organizers, “In this way, the Government of Jujuy reaffirms its commitment to youth participation in building collective environmental awareness by promoting art and education as tools for social transformation.”
