The ministries of Education, Human Development, and Health in Jujuy held a meeting at the Ciudad de las Artes to review progress and set joint strategies aimed at improving the well-being of children and adolescents. The event, called “Proyectando Juntos” and organized by the Coordination of Healthy School Environments, brought together more than 60 teams and institutions. Participants included representatives from municipalities, security forces, provincial agencies, universities, social organizations, and UNICEF.
During the opening remarks, Miriam Serrano, Minister of Education, emphasized the need to care for school environments. She stated: “Schools are not only spaces for learning but also for nutrition, emotional coexistence, cultural development, and community participation.”
Serrano added: “The intersectoral commitment is fundamental to support young people with a comprehensive view of health from 45 days old throughout their educational journey.”
Marta Russo Arriola, Minister of Human Development, said that the meeting provided an opportunity to review past work and develop new strategies to ensure intellectual, emotional, and social growth for children and adolescents in Jujuy.
Audiovisual materials were presented during the event showcasing experiences from JI No. 9 and JI No. 14 in projects related to self-care, school safety, and healthy habits promotion. Presentations were also made by Agua Potable de Jujuy as well as other health agencies and provincial or municipal departments that are part of the intersectoral network.
